Terrible event. I hosted a watch party with a few of the lads, we all drew random numbers to cheer for with low stakes on the line. That helped tremendously.

Women’s rumble was just ok, solid pick for winner but Belair is still out? Ooff. The pacing for eliminations was very poor, 15 people in the ring at number 30 is dumb.

Royal rumble was terrible. Started off ok, but I knew we were in for some bullshit when Trick got unceremoniously tossed like nothing. Brock got tossed during a friggen entrance. Roman winning is genuinely deplorable. He’s at almost 10 mania main events now, absolute joke. This rumble elevated nobody. The el grande spot was good but wasted here.

Thank god that bum Sami didn’t win, that would’ve written off the whole event.

Now CAWdy will win the chamber, I won’t be watching anyway.

Yeah, what did this match actually achieve?

How does it push anything forward? Unless Zayn is going to face MacIntyre at Mainia, and they can push the 0-12 for Sami to eventually win (which I doubt they’ll do)…. Why would you even bother having this match?

I haven’t watched Raw for a Month. I haven’t watched Smackdown for about 6 months.

the only thing making me interested in watching WWE are Gunther’s matches.

He is a master. Probably the best in-ring story teller I’ve ever seen.

It just shows how old school Wrrrrrastling is king. I’m so done with the flippy flippy sh*t, from all these luchas.

Promoted as from Melbourne, not Dingley.

Got a pre-match promo and called viewers “uneducated flogs”.

Was very much not portrayed as a jobber, though I see no indication he’s getting a longer run.

Long article/interview:

Fletcher is getting a shot at the TNT title this Wednesday – hoping to walk into his home town next Saturday as the champ.

His ex-tag-team-parter Mark Davis has also been announced for the PWA show on Friday.

Grand Slam Australia will be a Collision episode and has been extended to 2.5 hours TV time. Possibly Ring of Honour matches to be recorded in Sydney as warm-up.

Those first two matches on Dynamite were great. Included probably Dunkzilla’s best AEW performance (and that match against FTR was no slouch) and yeah-that-was-definitely-Claudio-as-a-face.

Ladder match announced for Sydney.

And the wildcard team for the tag team title contendership match… well, it’s been a while since we last saw them!

(It was Private Party… extreme flippy ■■■■ ensued.)

Main event strap match for the Women’s Title was… vivid, and occasionally quite clever. AND NEEEEEEEEEEEW! Thekla! I didn’t see that coming.

They even bothered to announce some matches for the Brisbane house show!




I want Buddy Matthews to return in Sydney, but am worried how he might do so…
