You just have to include our name anywhere in the newspaper and most Victorians will buy a copy because the only things that get written about us are stories of how disappointing we are. It’s like feeling compelled to read a story about kids torturing animals.

Just a random thought in all of this.
Are we a considerable part of the reason people believe the comp is evening out? By being unable to beat lowly teams and unable to win convincingly do we manufacture that result? I’m not the guy to do it, but if someone is bored with time up their sleeve I’d love to see how even the comp looks without us in it. As in, knock up a model that removes us completely. No Bombers games. Is the comp still anywhere as even if we’re not there making it look even by sneaking wins over better sides and allowing rabble sides to sneak wins over us?
A really worrying thought.
