Tinnitus

Who has it, and what, if anything, have you done about it that's been successful?

I've had it for years and learned to live with it, but recently its got a lot worse. Driving me nuts.

(For those wondering: it's the ringing ears thing, not the foot thing.)

If you haven't done it already, get your hearing checked.

Go back in time and turn the music down

I am still relatively young and have had it for a while now. (Only mildly luckily).

Have just learnt to ignore it or put on some music in the background if it is really bugging me.

My wife just went to the Doctor for this issue and he has given her some antibiotics in case the ringing has been caused by fluid trapped in the ear / ear area. Failing that she is off for hearing tests but apparantly there is not much that can be done.

I've had it for about 5 years as a result of some treatments.

I've been told I'll have it forever.

To be hones though, I can hear it if I want to listen but have no issue forgetting about it or ignoring it.

Put a fan on in your bedroom if you have trouble sleeping.

My Dad has this from many years working in the mines. After exploring many treatment options it seems not much has changed since the 80’s when he retired. We’re currently working through different hearing aids…I’ll keep you informed

I've had it for years, and yeah, not a lot you can do, Wimms suggestion is a good one, white noise is a good foil

Watch later seasons of Archer and know one of the coolest guys ever shares your problem

wee on your feet in the shower

Guess it depends on how bad it is at times but you'll have to learn to fall asleep with the TV or radio when its really annoying. Doesn't have to be on all night or loud, usually you wake after a couple of hours and automatically turn it off in a zombie state like pressing the snooze button on your alarm in the mornings.

Sink a couple of cans aswell, help you sleep.

hack your ears off with a rusty spoon.

Got it slightly due to \\m/, sorta keeps the voices telling me to hunt down Alex Perry out of my mind at the same time.

you can get the vestibulocochlear nerve (CNVIII) cut in extreme cases i suppose (more used for Meinere's disease), but a low sodium diet is (from what I have read in physiology, don't quote me as it may not be right) is also meant to help

There is so much added salt to our processed foods (low fat but heaps of salt) that we could do with avoiding salt in our food.
