There is a lot of back pedalling there from his manager who earlier had apparently advised him not to go to Freo as they supposedly aren’t a good club
Now he’s putting it back on Kelly’s choice about simply preferring to be at a successful club
Frankly the Cats are probably happy to keep him for next year, they want to have a crack while Ablett there, Hawkins & Selwood 30+ etc

Clubs like Collingwood would probably be looking at trading for him rather than free agency because they want to retain the compensation picks that they have received (Fasolo 40 odd is way overs for his actual value imo)

Disagree that GWS are imploding. They had a flag tilt for a few years and failed. now they need to rebuild. Pretty standard in clubland.
Gold Coast are a complete mess though. The football club where talent goes to die. There’s alot more that needs to be fixed in that club
