Yep. But Sweet has taken the #1 ruck spot. Not a bad approach, safety in numbers, one of them will make it…
Source?
I think Zinger sauce is his preference.
It wasn’t a piece of news or a rumour. I imagine he stays.
Just what I think would help re-balance our forward line.
Richmond get Rachele and pick 5 for Rioli?
Ambitious.
Lolololol
That’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen.
Might be closer to being true if it was Geelong not Richmond
If it was Geelong the Crows would give them Rachele plus throw in a first rounder as steak knives
I doubt Rachele would even want to leave for the Tiges. I know he’s young but they are in for a few years of pain.
Yep
thats where we swap Hobbs for Rachele in that trade
Hobbs get opportunity at Tigers
Rachele goes to a club who might have a chance for finals next year.
Suns Rioli
Crows Lukoious
Tigers Hobbs + pick
ess Rachele + rosas
We would be mad not to go after Rosas.
Bringing him in with Kako instantly fixes our small forward issue.
After that the only glaring issue on the list is the back line.
I still want us to draft Shannahan and KaKo, bring in Rosas.
That makes bulk of our midfield and forward line filled with players under 25.
Then we either look at taking a back flanker lower in this draft or prioritise it next year. Also could move around players on the board.
Im actually excited by this and hope we do those three things above.
Good point, half back for Merrett and half forward role for Martin
We do have a F4th though
Wouldn’t teams just drag Merrett to goal square to try and exploit him in defence and keep him out of the way?
Dont get me wrong
I’m all for good kicks and ball users off half back, and he’d be exactly that. And have thought the same - to make room in midfield he could slide behind the ball and it’s a win win
They could do that with any half back but they don’t.
He would be a tougher version of Rioli off the half back.
My preference was him playing forward! The_Ant thinks he should play back to utilise good foot skills delivering the ball out of defence. I think as he’s getting older he can play that hybrid mid / forward role like Dusty moved into later in his career
I can see him play that forward role
For sure.
We still need a major overhaul of our ball users coming out of backline.
Enter El-Hawli for one.
Zorko could be exposed the same way, but his opponents seem more worried about leaving him free to hurt the other way
Should we re-locate to WA? Would help getting some of the ‘home sickers’ over
