I donāt rate him a whole heap but he makes sense given how we like to move the ball out of defence - slow, short chip kicks ā¦. This is Danielās forte

Yes, he had one of his better years since being with us.
I think the angst comes because he doesnāt produce when we most need him to do so.
And the odd selfish plays that burn an opportunity to score, which seem to be happening more often.

Yeh thats fair but when your playing in the forward line your relying on your mids to hit you up which i have constantly seen him work hard this year to get separation and they burn him or just kick it over his head. I reckon he will kill it in another team.
I can see Laverde doing well at good club.
A good club will get the best out of him and make us look stupid

I think weāve done well with Laverde to be honest. Heās an honest campaigner, gives everything, turns it over and is prone to epic brain farts. Letās not pretend that any other team will turn him into Alex Rance!!

Surely not. His limitations are there for all to see. A good club would take him if they were in the window of competing for silverware and desperate for some backup if an injury hit. Anyone else would be silly to take him as we are if we retain him. We should be playing kids before Lav.
Liam Ryan off half back is the craziest thing I have ever seen you comment on here. And you can get pretty crazy at times lol.

Liam Ryan played at half back for a couple of matches this season with the Eagles from memory.
I share WOBās reservations about going down that path though, as naturally skilful as he is.
