Trade talk - from October 2024

We’ll be giving up less than 2 mid/late 2nd rounders for a player judged as a first round talent.
Not exactly selling the farm for him.

There is no world that you can be disappointed with him.

There was literally no competition in the market for Jake Stringer. When there is only one buyer then you can hold out and hold out as much as you want but if you as a club want him gone, which is certainly the case, then ultimately you are going to accept what that one interested party offers.

He is doing his job and the best in the business. He is there to get the best for his clients and doesn’t give a Fark what clubs or media twats think of him

Why didn’t we throw in Weideman to sweeten the deal?

This is a pure risk mitigation exercise by Essendon. The bloke comes with baggage and he isn’t part of the future plans of the club.

We’ll be worse off without him in the short term, but if you want to make an omelette, you’ve got to crack a few eggs.

Hind and Stringer gone. Wonder what will happen to the rest of the “crew”?

Agree 100%

Just confirming because we are giving up so much in supposedly one of the best drafts for a long time. I have seen Kako play alot and…

Caddy, Langford, Jones and even Draper (sigh) forward are better. At least not scared and soft as butter.

Will play round 1.

Vs Us

The younger a player is the more value they have.

Really baffling.

Its OK, nothing changes. Tomorrow is the next day towards another year without a finals win.

So did some of his team mates

Caddy in 25 now?

Just say you don’t like him and cut the bullshit

That’s why we parked ourselves with 2 future 1st Round Picks that cant be chewed up.

It’s a win if him being gone means we finish 14th instead of 10th.
It’s a win if him being gone means we get more games into kids that actually have a chance of still being here if/when we become relevant again.

I hope he has a great year at the Giants and helps them win the flag.
Especially if they beat teams like FC and Hawthorn getting there.

Bulldogs lost Smith, Macrea and Daniel and get 17, 25 and Matt Kennedy. They got fleeced when you compare what other clubs where getting for players.
