What a crock of sh-te

No one will be upset if we win 13 or games. We’ve done it once since 2003 and we’re not doing it next year with this sh-t list

We won 11 games this year.

Beat Gold Coast x2,Pies (Anzac Day) would have gave us 14 wins and possibly finish top 6

Yeah and if aunt had a ■■■■ shed be my uncle

If we’d lost to adelaide and stkilda early in the season, we wouldve been in the same position.

Collingwood won 13 games this year (well, equivalent of) and finished 9th with an ordinary percentage. That would be the Essington wet dream. Gimme that sweet taste of entrenched mediocrity baby.

My point is the team is capable of winning more then 10 games

Wow! lets congratulate the team on winning 11.5 games, its an improvement on last year!

Well done boys! youve really shown those negative nancies!

We will be down the bottom of the ladder next year.

Too many issues to fix, too many players needing development or maybe not up to it.

Bottom 4 for mine.

So we shouldnt congratualte or celebrate the team when they win games

This saying never used to make sense to me, but in 2024 it does.

What are you basing that on?

And Melbourne finish last and we get first pick.

I think I’m in the minority but I’m comfortable with how Scott has dealt with the list. If you just come in and huff and puff you will just lose all respect. He seems to have a plan and if you scratch the surface he has already made a lot of changes off field and on. The problems are deep seated and will take a while to fix, look at Richmond and how long it took them to turn it around.

We still wouldn’t get the first pick, North would probably ask for another handout priority pick.

That might be better for us so we are less likely to take the wrong player (unless there is a stand out like Reid).

I agree . The current list may get us another Elimination final and another thrashing. Let’s hope the next intake shows hope. I am an optimist by nature, but looking at AFL tables the other day, if you use 2005 as a starting point, then by the metrics of final appearances and wins we are the least successful side of the last 20 seasons. I’m excluding sides not in the competition that year. The club has turned into another Melbourne Football club, 1965-2020.

With Stringer kicking 42 goals.

With Goldy and Wright playing in 8 and 7 of those wins respectively. When we moved past them in the second half of the year we didn’t do as well.

With our backline having Heppel 18 games, Kelly 20, Hind 15 and Lav 21.

We have deliberately moved on a lot of our older players, knowing we will be worse in the short term. Our side will not be as strong next year as we are relying on kids with less than ten games to replace most of those senior players.

I expect to win less games next year, but that’s ok if we are blooding youth and setting ourselves up for future years.

exactly this, but nino would rather finish 11th again

No I rather us improve on our 11,finish top 8 and win a final that would be my goal.
