it was probably dodo himself, because heâd be having to meet a â â â â ton of people who thought he was a cancer on the club if he just does it people who criticise him or his record

Doesnât make much sense for GC. Schubert is hardly worth more than King, why would they swap those players and then trade pick 7 for 15 for the privilege?

King is a free agent. He wonât be at GC but he will be at Hawks for free. They (GC) want a player and right now it seems they have their eye on Schubert. Hawthorn wonât just hand him over for nothing so the proviso of the trade is they will let him go for that pick 7 and give GC pick 15 for him. Also, right now GC have â â â â all draft capital.
I think it makes senseâŚbut it may not happen.
But that is how it is done, you canât rebuild jjst through the draft.
Collingwood and Brisbane would a few feom other teams too (before Snake and Dud Allen).
Brisbane would have Gunston, Birchall, Hodge, Neale, Dunkley off the top of my head. Not necessarily those who won flags, but helped get them back there

I reckon that is exactly what Rosa is aiming for.
Hawthorn giving up picks 7 and 15 is good value given they a re bring in a player - Merrett - who clearly would have gotten them to this yearâs Grand Final, and likely Premiership.
And itâs good value to us as Merrett is only one of 3 players in our clubâs history to have won 7 B&Fs, rarely is injured and has years of elite football ahead of him.

If Hawthorn managed to get their hands on 7 then a straight swap would be fair.
Iâd push for 7 and 25
F1st and Bowes for Ridley.

Welsh has fired a shot across Hawthorn and Geelong on trading for Zach and Ridley. Iâd say this is to counter the Zach puff pieces.

My advice would be, donât get too cute again Welsh. We wonât get more than Hawthorn will offer, so careful they donât trade 15 for King.
I think Welsh should stfu and stay out of these negotiations. He sounds like a tool.
We need Merrett and Ridley gone this offseason

No he shouldnât - heâs trying to get the best deal for the club. Just like he got Horse and many otter things heâs done over the last two years. Hawthorn are anxious. Weâre not. They want what we have and Zach is our best player. Heâs basically saying we will trade Zach but donât offer us unders.

Last year he made big statements he couldnât step back from. Thatâs not good negotiating.

Do you consider yourself a good negotiator? Iâd say back channel discussions will be happening. Welsh is playing bad cop and Rosa is good cop trying to get a deal done.
