Having “Clayton Oliver or Powell Pepper” together is like comparing Sachin Tendulkar with Peter Handscomb.
The guy got omitted this week as well.
I don’t want to be too overly critical but only a few weeks ago people where comparing SPP to McG. It is beyond my comprehension how people could compare these players.
Note - I do agree cooling our jets is not a bad option if the trade cost is too high.

These are 2017 salaries of AFL players (2018 went up a lot)
191 players are paid under 200k
512 made 200k plus
Of that 512, 372 made 300k plus. That’s a touch more than 50% of all listed players.

On average each club has 11 players paid under 200k. Ive named 13 essendon players that are candidates for earning all under 200k as they are rookies or in there first 2 years on a list. This is an overestimate.
So on balance all others are 200k plus.
That includes
Hartley, Long, Brown, Dea, J. Merrett, Green.
Thems the facts.
I think all AFL players are paid incredibly well compared to most other people.
Of course they are super talented sportsmen.
But plenty of talented sportsmen make a while lot less. (less commercial sports).
I think they should get paid more.
But I was just trying to bring some facts to the discussion.
Now do you see where you went wrong?
