Training 15/08 (Captain's run)

Headed out to TVSC to hand in a resume and cover letter regarding a vacant position from the EFC. So decided to watch out the session:

-NO’B ran laps and did basic streches before anyone else came on. Had a blue material cast supporting his hand, wrist and part of forearm. Will obviously miss the VFL game.

-Players came out and Hurls looked a tad off and a bit slow but still participated in contact drills. Will probably play sore.

-Hate to mention this but Ryder and Hocking did not participate in contact drills. Trained alone alongside another trainer with light jogs and a ‘kick to kick’. Not sure if it’s a deliberate approach to lighten their workload or they are in doubt.

-Hibberd wasn’t present at all. Kommer, Fletcher, Carlisle, Jerrett and Pears weren’t sighted obviously either.

-Main drill I got to see was the quick handball to each other whilst other players would have to tackle them down. A lot of cheers, loud encouraging and claps throughout this.

-Unfortunately, that was all I got to see. Had to leave. However, looks Begbie can add more please?

BTW, does anyone here work at the club or know someone that does? Wouldn’t mind getting the job  If anyone needs anymore personal details, PM me. Thank you!

Good luck with the job, hope you at least get an interview.
Thanks for the report.

Cheers for insight... Ryder and Hocking would be getting managed for tomorrows big game, no worries there.

Cheers for the report mate and good luck getting the gig.

Nice report bombers08!

I wasn’t planning to post anything but here’s some stuff.

Hurley - did a fitness test late in session, my guess he is 60/40 to play.

Ryder, Buddha - like OP said being managed this week. They both took part in match practice and did ok.

Hibberd - thought I saw him moving well.

Carlisle - he can’t stand up straight. He’s getting around on crutches, kinda using them as walking sticks. Moving like an old man.

Kommer - walked laps. Proppy.

Jobe was very vocal today, stressing “hard in contest” and"communicate! Boys you know we play at our best when we communicate".

I really thought session was upbeat and sharp.

Just had a look on the website and there are five vacancies
