Thanks for the reports guys. Really love hearing about some of our lesser known younger players!
Well done reporters.
Fantastic reports ^:)^
On a side note relating to yesterdays events. Are Ambrose & Colyer in full training as I’m surprised they didn’t feature in any of the top 5 results?
Chef … They were close to full training, but worked on drills on the Etihad ground. Both looked in good nick.
Bart Cummings lol.
Firstly great report and much appreciated as always. Also I noticed in some of the clips I have seen of Langford he looks quite awkward when on the run, disposing of the ball by foot.
I was just wondering if you had noticed anything similar or different whilst at training, Jackie?
He missed a few targets today - too early for me to tell if this is a problem or just an abberation today.
Humpert... snigger...Any thoughts on whether Carlisle is going alright. Seems to spend a lot of time lately not involved in full training?
You would have to say no because he hasn’t been able to train fully for sometime.
Re Langford, it was blatantly obvious from his highlight clip that his kicking action is completely hopeless, and I don’t think this is the first time Jackie has remarked on it at training.
The question is this. Is anyone actually trying to teach him how to kick? I know we have Matthew Lloyd to do some work with the key forwards, but kicking is an absolutely essential skill all over the ground. Do we have a kicking coach? I’ve never heard of one, and considering it’s such a fundamental element of the game, it would seem to be a good idea to have someone to teach the players the correct action and drill them until it’s second nature.
Fantastic to see Stein powering up. Sounds like he is going to have a great pre-season, but alas , he is still a rookie.

Thanks Jackie as usual, and good to hear Laki’s out and about.

Went out there myself, I was looking for you Jackie but I couldn't find you!!I’ll add some minor things too:
-Long is so silky and smooth. Very agile and quick too. Still can’t believe he went to us as a rookie.
-Laverde was pre much Hep’s shaddow today. Literally followed him everywhere, learning from the best I guess.
-Myers and Melksham both missed open goals from 20m out: both belting out: FUCKKKK. I SHOULD’VE GOT THAT!! My main point was that they were passionate about the mistake and knew they had to fix it.
-BJ was VERY vocal today. Yelling words of encouragement to players on the other side of the field except for one part when he blasted Dempsey for not following his man: “Eyy, why were you ball watching?!!! Eyy, look at me!” Sorry to add, but Demps has added a lotta weight. Here’s hoping he can lose it before rd 1.
-A select group trained on the ‘Etihad’ oval as HH mentioned. Not sure why those specifically.
-Licha did limp off really early but NFI what happened to him. Didn’t return.
-Pears and Hocking were absent. Browne and Aylett walked laps and trained afterwards together on the Etihad oval.
-Kommer walked laps too.
-Hams, Carlisle and Giles walked laps too proceeded with the ropes and medicine ball exercises. Carlisle joined in with Belly and Daniher (with Lloydy) for set shots.
-Speaking of Daniher, he honestly looks taller than last year. Absolute beast now. Will dominate in 2015.
Noticed that in the BomberTV vids, surely he won’t need another mini pre-season before the season starts (like last year)?
Thanks for the updates guys.
