Yeah one of my friends went to a wedding a week ago where just about everyone around her turned out to subsequently test positive for covid including her own husband who she shares a house and a bed with and yet still she is testing negative.
So it can be a strange old thing sometimes. So there’s no telling that Hurls necessarily had it just cos a heap of other people at the wedding got it (if that’s indeed true).
Why do people keep saying this. You can get covid more than once. Getting it this week and recovering isn’t going to stop you getting it again next month.
Are you referring to the Covid or the cohabitation arrangement with the husband?
Anyway, things might be clarified by Wednesday or so if it’s anything like the 20 somethings I know.
Their timelines have all gone New Year Weekend- wait 3 days - get tested - either you or a housemate has it - quarantine for 7 days.
Which basically takes us to the 10th, today.
So if they’re isolating because of contacts should be training later this week.
If not they’ve probably caught it and will return on a staggered basis.
It’s a percentages thing yeah? Whilst it doesn’t definitely prevent you from getting it again you are far less likely. Therefore the more that have it now (mildly of course, we all hope) the percentages are in your favour to not have it occur to them again during the season.
Getting the same variant of Covid is extremely rare.
It’s the difference in variants that makes for repeat infections.
Think of it like each season’s flu - you only get that winters once - but next winters variant is another story.
So Omicron now means we cross the fingers until October another variant doesn’t appear, and the players will be OK
2022 could be the most covid derailed year yet. Teams surely can’t be forced to field a team with half a list down and if they do the blow-outs could be enormous
Why is @Finding_Nino the only poster’s message I can’t quote!
Anyway all jokes aside i WOULD like to take Martin I think he is deserving of an AFL list spot and could see him playing senior football this year and doing well.
I think that’s definitely the way they should approach it. If you can field a team, you play, if you can’t field a team then you forfeit. No more flying teams to states they weren’t scheduled to play in, and no more changing the fixture. Get on with it.
Wow this is a bit of a change from calling everyone who went out for non-essential purposes as very selfish, reckless and crazy in the covid thread. Why the change in your strongly held opinion on that one?
