As Jackie has already said, the conditions today were wet and slippery so the session was pretty reasonable under the conditions. At present the sessions seem to be placing more emphasis on contested stoppages and set ups than on full oval ball movement which is a different emphasis from 2014-15. It may however be a case of with so many “senior” top ups that need to get physically up to speed, it’s too early to get then playing a great deal of match practice.

The boys completed their warm up drills on “Etihad” and head for the main oval as the weather deteriorates!

Gach and the big Russian work out some tap out moves with the aid of Birdie Num Num and Orazio.

Stokes, Kelly and Simpkin do a warm up lap…but they aint singin’ or dancin’ in the rain.

Zacha gets a clean takeaway from the stoppage, encouraged to play on by Crowley.

Young Darcy shows he can also get clean possessions in the wet.

Gach and Mark compete for the tap out. Gach has an enormous spring and will be worth watching, even in the VFL, this year.
