You missed the initial post.
It was one continuous blurb.

Youâve made me feel like thereâs hope still out there for our club.
Thank you.
My son was in the 2nd session and that had the bulk of the senior players in it.
Parish, Langford, Tsatas, Caldwell, Merrett, Fiorini, Gresham, Setterfield, Cox, Ridley, Perkins, Hayes, Wright, Durham, Jones, Prior, Redman, Reid, McKay, Guelfi, Martin.
I was surprised how standoffish majority of senior guys were to the kids.
Props to Lewis Hayes and 2MP, super fun and engaged. Even with the compression bandage over the leg/knee, 2MP was getting amongst the drills.
Unfortunately the 20% off bomber shop and meeting some players wasnât enough to convince my kid to not follow the Devils.
Oh, and to top this off, the kid lost his brand new Kako badge
⊠so if anyone picked one up on Melville, youâre welcome!
I know I will get bagged, but this boy is Captain material.
The way Angus talks reminds me a lot like Terry Daniher. He was awesome today. It is a shame he got injured early in the season. He definitely gave it a crack last year.
Yeah that is a difference from the young guys. We didnât get to interact with all the players during the drills but afterwards they seemed really happy to take selfies and sign autographs and were asking the kids a lot of questions. I guess thatâs why some think the kids need to get the keys to the club asap. I really think the quicker we turn over the senior players the better. My son just said again that Clarke and Unwin had the time of their lives playing the game against the kids. He said Robey, Kako, sharp , Clarke, Nguyen, May, Johnson, Gerryen, Huss, Vigo, ADW, Artimas, Saad, Farrow and Blakiston just to name a few were all awesome. He said the rest of them were all nice but the players all mentioned got a selfie with him and all looked happy in the pics he got. Angus got BOG but special mention to Robey because he didnât stop smiling the whole time.
???
My boy had a great time, went with his grandad. Reports were that the boys were so nice and welcoming to the little ones. Sharpy applauded my sonâs snap goal, now his signed poster is already in the wall. Dad said Robey took so much time to talk to the boys, as well as Sharpy and Kako, Blaki but all the boys were very well mannered and engaging.
Well done EFC, making our young members very excited
this isnât tezza at all

Terrible training report. Who was training the house down? Anyone borderline flying? Given the opposition I would have expected our boys to be throwing their weight around a bit.
It was our first time at The Hangar yesterday morning. Mrs Dunnybrush accompanied myself and Dunnybrush Jnr 1 and Jnr 2. Fair to say it was bloody cold at 8:30am!
Luckily, we scored a parking spot pretty much out the front on Melrose Drive. The first thing that hits you is the sheer size of the facility. The land housing the two ovals, running track and the physical structures of the Hangar / Offices / Café / Shop is vast.
The AFLW girls were doing some low intensity warm upâs when we arrived, so we headed into the Jack Jones cafĂ©. The coffee was surprisingly decent. Whilst we waited for the caffeine hit, Solly wandered in. His attempts to eat breakfast and check his phone were regularly interrupted by young autograph hunters. Solly greeted each with a smile and took the time to ask their name and have a quick chat. A brief glimpse, but he seemed genuine and engaged.
Stants then appeared and had a long chat to the cafĂ© staff. Heâs copped some criticism for âsmilingâ at inappropriate times in the box, but I genuinely think thatâs just his resting expression.
Itâs bittersweet seeing the 16 cups on display in the foyer, the â17 awaitsâ cabinet seems like itâll remain empty for a long while yet.
The clinic itself was well organised. 7 or 8 groups sorted by age, rotating around the oval for different Auskick style drills. The 1-3 year players appeared about halfway through, much to the wonderment of the kids.
Dunnybrush jnr 2 had Sharp and Farrow for goalkicking. Sharp was like a hyperactive kid and looked like he was having as much fun as the kids. He wouldnât leave Farrow alone, heâs a pest! Both Sharp and Farrow were great with the kids.
I was also watching another group that included Roberts and Robey. Roberts just seems like a natural people person, it took Robey a while to warm into it. Heâs 100% pure alpha.
Seems like the young players have a good report, on brief glimpse we got at least.
In the player QA at the end, itâs clear that Caddy and Robey are the fan favourites. The boys razzed up Archer May when a question was directed at him. El-Hawli has a big personality and got some laughs.
Dunnybrush jnr 1 was beaming at the end âI got a high five from Caddy and Kako!â
After a visit to the Bombershop we watched a few minutes of the AFLW training, which by then was in full swing. A very audible f-bomb from one of the players near us on the boundary caught the attention of Dunnybrush Jnr 1 and that was the cue to call it a day. Although, if Iâm being honest, the real reason is that it was still bloody cold and the caffeine had worn off!
Overall, it was a smooth event and the access to the players was appreciated by all. Two happy kids came home with Kako posters and some fun memories that will hopefully sustain them over the rest of this wretched season and into next year.
he can be Vice captain, behind Sharpy.
