What I picked up is that Ronald Fejo is Marco Polo reincarnated and that he’s gunna be away from his mum for 24 years, possibly residing in China Also, that he can football ok but that he’ll likely forget after 24-years that he promised to pick up some milk on the way home.
Brilliantly described, Sal!
Let’s hope the Essendon hierarchy can see the major upside of Fejo (…….Fantasia who???) and are already discussing the best approach to fast track his fitness, endurance and as a result, concentration on the contest.
Thanks Sal. Classic report - in the style of the literary greats. Thunder rumbled & lightning pierced the sky as I navigated my way through your narrative. Perhaps the gods enjoyed it also.
There’s an article saying suns’ academy player Austin Harris is doing pre-season with us for VFL purposes. Does this guy look familiar to training attendees? And no, I don’t mean Andrew Raines.
Of all the exciting things that were mentioned (very closely behind Fejo!) was this.
If we get this right, we’ll be knocking on the door of top 4. I’ve been super critical about how poor we have been at this…… including the Worsfold tactic of ‘concede ground, by dropping back to D50 & defend’.
We must defend higher up the ground, and create repeat entries.
