Lol. Tell me you are Aceman without telling me you are Aceman.
Well I’m only asking because of the different experiences. A lot of people are flying to Europe with Finnair as they often have pretty competitive prices but I’m not a fan of their AirLounge seating in business class. Others I know love it though
Most likely economy. There are often QFF reward flights available from SIN or BKK into Europe. Via Helsinki of course.
Have heard their Economy is quite fine. Their food and beverages are quite basic and their IFE won’t win any awards but seats get ok reviews
Thanks. I’m also mindful of their aggressive near neighbour and consequences of the current war. I just read they have re-routed flights into Asia to avoid Russian airspace, so that’s good I guess.
Yeah, they used to fly up over the North Pole via Russian airspace but they moved to the long way around a while back
Heading to Bali in December. Anybody hired a chef and have any contacts?
Has ayone flown LATAM previously? My daughter is heading to South America in Oct, I had no idea they flew from Melb. I’m a bit worried as I usually do the fam flights but in all her excitment she went went rogue and booked her own (likely the cheapest knowing her!
).
Flew LATAM domestically in Chile in 2023. And from Santiago to MEL back in 1998 when they flew via Easter Island, Tahiti & AKL. All fine. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them to / from Santiago, esp considering it is direct.
Good to know thank you. Yep Melb to Santiago then Sant to Rio, Rio to SP so lots of flights!
Last Nov/Dec flew LATAM from Melb to Santiago, then to Lima, Cusco, Lima, Buenos Aires (Up & back to Puerto Maldonado ) back to Santiago then home (Qld) via Auckland. (Lots of flights & all were LATAM.) Planes were fine & everything went smoothly.
And yes, probably the cheapest as this was a TripADeal holiday. ![]()
I knew it! hahah. Thank you. Well it sounds like she will have a pretty decent flight. Cheers
Have flown Mel to Santiago direct and return with LATAM thrice over the past 8 years.
No complaints whatsoever.
Great to hear, thank you.
Yep, we mostly use our UK ones but our Australian ones expire in June so are practically useless now. Squeeze one more trip out of them when we go to Vietnam in a few weeks
Just out of interest are all of these passports valid for as long as ours?
Yep, ten years.
$23 for photos & guaranteed to stuff up the form somewhere
