No. If the Libs were in charge they would not spend the money on a public resource and when Labor is in and tries to do it (eg in Melbourne and in Perth now) they get all sorts of criticism (including on Blitz) for wasting public money.
Yes. Over 160 years of all that heat coming off all those trains has raised the underground temperature, and is harder to disperse due to its insulating nature.
It does but itās not aimed at just FFās. There are a hell of a lot of people that are trying to find ways to get that little bit of luxury for what might be a once in a lifetime trip. There are a stack of people who have hardly stepped foot on a plane who reads his articles and seeks his advice
Londoners think anything temperature over 24C is hot, so when it gets to 30C in the Tube you see some weird sights. Like the Gentlemen in three piece suits and Bowler hats stripping down to the waist with their undershirt, shirt, vest and jacket neatly folded on their laps with a hat sitting on top.
I was coming home from work on the picadilly line on 3/8/1990 when it cracked 37 in London for the first time ever. The poor old poms were fainting due to the heat.
What I found curious at the time was there was no airconditioning anywhere. Also the fact that tube stations had timber escalators.
Funny thing I remember about that day was even though it was 37, it was not what I call hot. A day of 30 in Melbourne feels way hotter.
Just found this - never had a problem with them

We were in the UK at the time of 7/7 and caught the tube several times in the following weeks. Was quite eerie to see some of the stations still boarded up and people were still very much on edge.
Iām pretty new to TripIt and this is the first trip Iām planning through the app. Iāve previously used an excel spreadsheet for planning and itinerarys. I suppose if you had any concerns you could use a hide my email option if you have an Apple account. Mozillaās Firefox also has an option to hide your email now as well.
Thanks. Iām going on a short trip before heading overseas in Aug so Iāll try it on that. Have you synced Flyly?
What benefits do you think the TripIt app has to a spreadsheet?
My recommendation for SIM cards.
Local is always best. You can usually get 3 months coverage but you can top up and extend but be wary, top ups are in a foreign language so can be a bit tricky to follow instructions. In some countries like Spain, Italy, Montenegro, they wonāt let you top up using the same CC for some reason. Itās much easier just to buy another card. If you are travelling for longer than 3 months, like we do, we just buy 2 cards.
ONE in Montenegro - cheap with good coverage mostly 4G
A1 in Croatia - excellent 5G coverage throughout the islands
Cosmote in Greece - again, excellent 5G coverage throughout the islands or try WhatsUp which is sold by Cosmote so has the same coverage but is really really cheap.
TurkTelecom - great coverage, cheap with mostly 5G, throughout Turkey. Take care in Turkey, many spots donāt have that good coverage so I suspect they donāt have enough towers in remote spots.
