Tribunal/MRO from 2023 - Choose Your Own Adventure continues

He’s going to Abu Ghraib. Probably Gunna get electrical wire inserted in his balls.

Yep - the amount of ignorant Swans fans on social media calling this part of the AFL’s anti-Sydney agenda is staggering. They also didn’t appreciate me pointing out the irony of them only having Heeney because of the AFL’s pro-Sydney agenda.

Did you show them the vid of the umpire watching while Heeney broke his hand on BZT’s jaw without getting a report or giving away a free kick?

I’ve posted that a few times in response to the tools who claim he’s a fair player who should have been let off on the good guy clause. Strangely it wasn’t well received.

Um dude. The MRO looked in to that incident and cleared BZT of any wrongdoing for breaking Heeney’s hand, so that’s all clear…

Wouldn’t see anything like that here.

Cameron might go for this…nah good bloke defense will save him

Good guy defence is only good for one charge. He’s goneski.

If you watch it in slow motion, he is trying to lay him softly on the turf. Good bloke.

I know I’ll probably be one out here but I didn’t have a problem with either of those tackles. No double motion, no slinging. Just looked like good tackles with unfortunate outcomes in what is a combative sport where you can’t (or at least shouldn’t IMO) legislate against everything. The pinning both arms thing I get with slinging tackles but geez, I reckon it’s a bit harsh with just a straightforward conventional tackle like these ones.

Anyway, it’s the litigation era so I’m sure they’ll go.

Paddy Ambrose would probably cop a suspension for that great tackle on Brad Hill these days at this rate.

There was zero reason for Cameron to drive Duggan backwards to the ground. He had him wrapped up while standing up. It wasn’t momentum that created that, it was Cameron directly. He is gone and he should be.

This is the Bedford one

Meanwhile in the VFL:

FIRST-YEAR St Kilda forward Lance Collard is being investigated by the AFL’s Integrity Unit after being accused of making homophobic slurs in a VFL game on Saturday.

A VFL spokesperson has confirmed the league is aware of a matter from the game between Sandringham and Williamstown at DSV Stadium.

Collard is accused of making multiple comments to Williamstown players and is facing a lengthy suspension.

Like I said, just my opinion. I’m sure there will be plenty more who agree with you and he’ll no doubt get suspended.

Agree with that. I think it was more Duggan losing his feet, and therefore his basis of support, that saw Cameron drive him into the turf more than anything. Bedford shouldn’t go if Dangerfield gets off. But who knows, not a superstar so he will probably get a week…

Dangerfield’s was much worse…but not a single one of us was remotely surprised that he was let off.

As one of the commentators said yesterday, you’d hate to miss a grand final if you did that in a prelim.

Haven’t seen the Cameron one, but I suppose he’d need to be classified as an all-time great top bloke to get that counted in his penalty.

Here you go:

i reckon there is two head clashes there too as well as his head hitting the ground. Charlie obviously didn’t get the memo about just standing guys up and pinning the ball.
