The Lance Collard homophobic slur case has been going most of the afternoon.
The 2 Frankston players are adamant he said the f word and it’s hard to think why they would make it up.
Interesting which way it goes. AFL are asking for a 10 week penalty.
Yet a player wiping their blood on another players face it only worth 3 lols

Sure if you look at it like that, or if you look at it that the afls had a public stance of cracking down on homophobia and continuation the progressive escalation of punitive measures to each instance, should have no bearing on the fact the tribunal got it ■■■■■■■ wrong with xerri

I think he will get off as it sounds like a classic case of he said/she said with no independent witnesses being able to support the two players who reckon he said that word. Collard has apparently signed a stat dec saying he didn’t use that word.
I just don’t see why the two Frankston players would be so adamant he said it if he didn’t say it.
And if Collard is going around calling people maggots after being suspended for the homophobic slur he probably needs to come up with some other insult.

Lance has used the bad term previously. That’s why the AFL are going for 10 weeks.

Remember the Michael Prior & AhMatt sledge from the 1990s? Prior swore black and blue he called him a dumb carnt, while AhMatt was going for the so-called racial taunt of ‘dark’ carnt.
Never in the history of racial slurs on the footy field has anyone ever been called a dark carnt, so Prior got off cause no one had any issues at all calling him a dumb carnt.

In retrospect, I would have been happy if the tribunal had found Prior guilty with a penalty of castration.

Collard found guilty. Sanction yet to be announced, but it won’t be a slap on the wrist.
