TV show thread (2022-?)

Seems to be a common theme of people checking out series that have been out for…a while.

And I kept seeing mentions of it and thought yeah that sounds like something I’d watch, and I’m nearly half way through it and…

omg, The Bear, you guys!!!

Finally! Fishes and Forks are the best episodes imo

Yeah, and the last episode of season 2 is really good.

I think it’s all been good, but…maybe the second last episode of season one?
And I noticed before it started, gosh that’s a weird episode length, but then you realise it’s all happening in real time and wow.

Finished up American Primeval on Netflix last night, not bad but not great.

They should’ve dialled up the ‘grim’ a bit more. Wasn’t grim enough. Or washed out colour wise. In seriousness, I’m glad they’re still trying to make stuff like this, but all it did was make me pine for Deadwood with its real writers and international stage actors. Different times.

First three episodes of Black Doves are excellent.

I thought it was awesome.
One particular plot point really bothered me at the end, though. I might be being picky, hell, I might even be wrong, but still.
Anyway, overall really enjoyable.

I smashed the remainder out this morning , and there’s a couple of obvious plot holes emerge , plus a little bit of overblown storyline ,but overall I think it was very good . The early episodes were great.

And it’s clearly wide open for series 2 .

Loving American Primeval on NETFLIX, hope it stays to the mini series 6 episodes and winds up.

Half way through and just griping!

Primeval, the roots of the MAGA

been watching lockerbie. The recreation of the crash is very chilling and very well done. Colin firth is someone i have warmed to a lot in recent years. This is a good one. Lockerbie bombing Was a very major 9/11 type incident back in the day, and perhaps I was too young, but had no idea of the cover up/ political manouvering by the british , americans and libyans that followed. I realised there are dramatized elements in all these shows, but this is an incredible story that I never knew about, and very well done

Just into the second episode. Dubbing is a bit painful, but the storyline is intriguing!

I saw it a couple of months ago, it is spooky good.

Finished this earlier today. Agree with everything you’ve said. Really liked the way actual footage from the time was seamlessly included.

I remember the incident but had forgotten many of the smaller details. If nothing else proves (yet again) that where the ME is concerned not much has changed.
