TV show thread (2022-?)

Absolutely, very different concept, I love how things a moving a little quicker this season.

I am so glad cobra Kai is finishing. These final episodes are terrible.

I loved Ted lasso but I think they should have left it at that, doing a season four with a women’s team doesn’t feel right

I thought they did well closing it off.
It was never going to be a left field finish.
They completed everyone’s arc quite well - schmulz, cheese and all.

The last episode was good. The ones leading up to it were awful :joy::joy:

I haven’t done the last batch of Cobra Kai yet. Will get onto over the weekend.

It feels kind of like being 12 goals down at 3/4 time of a grand final. You don’t want to be here, but you’ve just got to tough it out until the final siren.

It’s worth it - wraps up better than many other series.

That’d be impressive, considering how utterly ridiculous the last episode of the last batch was.

Yellowjackets s3 out. Pretty decent show, has its own mix of horror, humour and drama on an adult and young adult level.

How is it a reboot if SMG is in it?

I’ve begun my Severance run again, going back to S1E1 to time it with the S2 finale. It’s really fun to see loads of small details I’d forgotten or not made a good mental note of the first time around.

Assuming SMG is Buffy… but that takes us back to the potentially-problematic title of the (possible) new production.

Blue Lights…SBS…recommended off this thread. Awesome!

Yeah, I have to agree with that. Everything tied up with a nice happy ending bow, but still, I enjoyed the last few episodes more than I’d enjoyed the show for a while.

My overall thoughts:

I think Terry Silver was the worst part of the series. I felt he is what made karate kid 3 significantly poorer than the other films, and the series went downhill right about the time he turned up.

The actor is terrible, the character is ridiculous, his motivations make no sense at all… He’s just a lame ‘big bad.’

Glad he went out the way he did, in a well-deserved redemption arc for Kreese.

Have watched two episodes of Lockerbie. I was primary school age when this happened. Quite enjoying it. Not quite as a good as Chernobyl, imo, but very very good. Looking fwd to the rest of the episodes.

Was hoping to hold out on season 2 of Severance and binge it all in one go, but ended up caving. Smashed through the six eps pretty quick.

Holy freakin moly that show is simply incredible. This season may even be better than the first.

All killer, no filler

I had the same plan. Failed. Better than season 1.

I binged Day Zero - Netflix this weekend.

Robert De Niro just adds that bit of class to whatever he is in.

idol. The past two weeks were enjoyable and occasionally humorous. It’s ridiculous to bring back old friend and call it a top 31 last week.
The fix is in for tonight’s show. Even if they sound awful, the judge still love the people they love.

Cobra kai

A satisfying and predictable finale to the series. Perhaps a rewatch of season 6 is necessary because there are some missing connections to Daniel Son & Karate Kid Legends.
