TV show thread (2022-?)

Pluribus is all sorts of awesome, it’s probably not for everyone but I love it.

Has anyone watched House of Guinness on Netflix? I watched the first ep last night and wasn’t sure if I should persist with it. It seemed a bit forced, like it wanted to be Guy Ritchie or something.

It’s OK. Will never be talked about as the greatest show ever but it’s entertaining enough.

I assumed it was Guy Ritchie. Many flavours of awful, very pretty Irish girl, makes Peaky Blinders look good. Not enough to persist beyond 20 minutes. A much better beer show is Oktoberfest : Beer and Blood, and that’s a bit of a silly, violent soap itself.

Just keeps getting better, glad I came back to it and gave it chance. Very funny

Just finished Black Rabbit on Netflix. It was good.

Vince Gilligan crossed with the Leftovers? Yes please.

I’ve watched the first three eps and I’m all in.

I’m interested to know how long it took other viewers to wonder…. “so, um, can you fark them?” And then I felt like a bit of a degenerate for having that thought so quickly. But then Koumba Diabaté rocked up and I was like “Ah, there it is”

My kids are watching this show on Netflix called Crunchlabs. I couldn’t believe how this sleazy consumerist stuff has now appeared on that service. Or maybe I just never realised. Basically they show a bunch of science experiments and the like, and then cut to the guy guiding you to the website to subscribe and receive a box each month. I thought YouTube was for this kind of ■■■■. Now I’m getting hassled by the kids with Christmas approaching.

My thoughts exactly! Loving it so far. Vince’s camera angles make me feel the way Carol feels about Helen all good on the inside

That whole scene, beginning with Air Force One appearing from off-camera was hilarious

Just finished season 3 of The Diplomat on Netflix. Very enjoyable political thriller set on both sides of the Atlantic. Good acting. Some great settings. Interesting contemporary themes throughout.

Season 4 has been commissioned.

Just binge watched the whole thing.

Thought the acting was incredible.

I don’t indulge in TV shows all that often, though this roped me in.

I wasn’t sure about it initially, but am all in now. Loving it.

Last episode was great.

Good to see Manousos on the move and there is a lot more to Diabaté than meets the eye.

Another poster mentioned how Clair Danes always moves her head then I couldn’t help noticing it. Very distracting.

Sorry about that…

Still struggling to see how Pluribus will run ~4 seasons, but it has my attention.

Mrs 10 and I finished Berlin Station on SBS on line last night. Seasons 1 and 2 were okay, assuming you accept the basic setup. But season 3 was an incomprehensible muddle that we watched purely to get to the end of it.
