I think Trump is largely self-aware and ultimately will be pragmatic on policy. I'm not sure the same can be said of Cruz.
I also suspect Trump is surprised he's got this far -- presumably the initial plan was to force some Republican policy shifts in his favour as the price for bowing out of the race.
Hmm, either that,.. or the thought occurred to me this morning, that he could be a Democrat plant/spoiler, .... he has donated to Hillary 10 times.
If he ran as an independent, or get's the nomination, he assures a victory for her. What might she give him for that?
Also wondered if he wanted to be Pres really at all?
The guys a showman, who has more money than he needs, & the publicity he has gotten from this, is unquantifiable, which means his next Apprentice circus will be bigger than ever, as will most other things he does.
With all that going on & the cash it brings, who would really want the stress & glad handing that goes with being President?
3rd thing was, with the Republicans fear of how they might/will, get wiped out & lose the Senate, should Trump be the nom, .. or run as an Indy, & the richest men in the USA, mainly being republicans, how much might they give him to just Fk off?
I mean he can't lose here, .. in that sense he's a Genius, but I wonder which of the above scenario's is more likely.. Can you imagine the scrutiny he'll be under if he actually get's the nom, & run's? I'm not sure he'd want all that either.
This might just be the greatest marketing/publicity exercise in history, with immeasurable value for all his future endeavors ... as well as being a massive payday, & or having the next President Clinton owing him blood.
