I don’t think that’s true anymore at all.
Green new deal, minimum wage, universal healthcare, free college, cancel college debt. Sure they are ideas and not policy yet.
Bernie swung the party left pretty hard.
I still don’t consider them left.
Centre at best. Standing on one leg with one eye squinted and both ears closed.
But of course without preferential voting, the rise of a left wing party is a terrible, terrible idea.

Granted, but he did so as an outsider facing opposition within the Democratic Party establishment and the DNC.
Those ideas are still loudly opposed by the likes of Pelosi and Manchin, and every concession heading in those directions has been very reluctantly given.
Hell, Pelosi said in a speech that the younger Democrats needed to give up on their “green dream” as her state was on fire

The power structure is still centre. Biden and Pekosi case in point.
But the Overton window is swinging back significantly left. Aoc and Bernie have got the party talking about things that where not being talked about. It makes it possible.
Compared to the 90’s and Blair and Clinton actively pushing their parties rightward.
It’s definitely different.

Fauci is appealing to former president Trump to ask his followers to get vaccinated. Given that Trump was vaccinated in secret, I suspect he will not backflip on this one. It would be yet another "concession " of defeat. That would be similar to telling his followers QANON is fake .

People in the USA may be stupid enough to give Trump $$$$$ for his Non RINOS PAC, but apparently they are not so entranced by Meghan “she made me cry” Markle and Harry “My family literally cut me off financially” Windsor, whose gofundme raised just $110 to help pay off their Montecito Mansion.
Fair enough.
I find it hard to believe they would actually do something as ridiculous as that.
