The path from 20 year old male who’d barely even notice these people, to middle aged divorced male taken out there repressed anger and failure on this group is something else.

The CVs could still have elements on them influenced by the disadvantages faced by women and minorities. Employment history, for example, could stack up over time due to discrimination as every role taken is slightly worse than those offered to white males. This could be reflected in an anonymized CV.
Still a great exercise to get people thinking and talking about discrimination.

as i said in an earlier post, i don’t think any particular social change agenda is right or wrong - i just don’t think there’s enough at stake for me personally in any of it to give a sht one way or another

Ok. Tell me a specific woke policy that you disagree with. Let’s pull this apart in specifics rather than vague catch all statements.
Because this is how the term woke is used, broad brush and vague. Never a specific, never providing an alternative way to help the people who are experiencing harm.

I do agree with your sentiment, but it was never practical for me to not have all the information needed to sort out potential employees.
I worked as a Management Consultant in a Recruitment Firm for two years while I was looking for a real job.
I took the job more seriously than most, as while the Client paid the fee, there was no way I was going to allow a candidate work in a place that could destroy them emotionally, or even let them get to an interview stage giving false hope, meeting a potential boss who was a sexist, racist pig, and back then in the 1980s there were many around.
So how is it fair to present a candidate who has all the skills, education, character and to experience to an Employer who clearly will only employ a white, straight bloke who likes beer and footy. You need to know for safety of all.

Based on this definition, stacking the Supreme Court, getting Roe v Wade overturned and telling women not to worry about it and describing the other side of politics that would among other things oppose that ‘childless cat ladies’ would be… woke.

corporate America control FDA and Americans eat too much processed crap like us that’s why majority are over weight. Some of their heavily processed foods shouldn’t be approved fit for human consumption.
Autism rates are concerning in the us, 1 in 10,000 in 70’s to 1 in 36 is alarming. It’s likely some part environmental as well as some part genetic as well as some part medical interventions.
I don’t imagine RFK would be in charge more like oversee and put in someone they trust.
