Just a few quick comments in response to a lot of the post that have been made in this thread and it’s predecessor. Firstly around DEI. I always found this image quite enlightening and hopefully it can spark some thoughts.
Secondly, as it relates to the aid given to Ukraine. While it is very easy to make a rather obtuse comparison with the amount of money spent on Ukraine versus what that exact amount of money would deliver to the American people if spent within the US, the fact of the matter is, I’d rather have that money be spent to keep Ukraine from falling rather than have American troops on the ground. We have learned that lesson multiple times in America’s history.
Also, as a US citizen who resides here in the US, I’m much more troubled by the $2.09 trillion the US department of defense has allocated to it in 2024 rather than the $58 billion that have been allocated to Ukraine.

My point was about America involvement in Ukraine’s defense.
Trump has publicly stated he would seek to negotiate an end to the war.
Biden / Kamala are silent on the subject, so you have to imagine it’s to continue as is.
It is a key issue when deciding who to vote for.
Unless you believe the threat of ww3 is irrelevant.

Even then it’s not like the US has transferred $58B to Ukraine’s bank account. The large majority of it is in the value of equipment sent to Ukraine that was either drawn down, or was due to be replaced by the government.

Whether he will or won’t, time will tell.
But that’s the whole point is, isn’t it?
They put forward their views and policies, and people make what they feel is an informed decision and vote accordingly.
We haven’t even begun discussing pedo Joe, or the ‘democratically elected’ Kamala. Nothing suss there at all.

Why should victims of violence get assistance from people who can provide it? Why should victims ask for assistance if they can’t defend themselves?
