The Dems could also be responsible for Depression Kirk, which has caused severe damage to towns and villages in the southern European Atlantic coast, together with the floods in Poland and elsewhere in Europe.
Those dumb Europeans haven’t joined the dots.

Imagine, as a public servant, having to deal with death threats because people think the government is controlling hurricanes. I feel terribly for people who are trying to do their job and support people in a crisis.

There’s some vile stuff on NZ social media, associated with a woman captain of that NZ Navy vessel which sank. The NZ Government is trying to contain it.
It’s not just American individuals on social media. Musk and others provide the medium for encouraging violence globally in the name of free speech.

This is a case where the US and the west as a whole did not cause and did not want a war. Other nations have agency, but this awkward fact is overlooked by those who are blinkered to only how the USA is to be blamed.

Planb has been listing out every war that the US engaged in and conflating that it being a bad thing to support Ukraine in defending itself. It completely disregards the role of Putin as the sole agent in initiating this war and belittles the Ukrainian people’s courageous defence of their thriving democracy.

Not everything bad that happens is due to the US and not every military support that the US provides is bad.

If it was a man who sunk the ship there would still be memes.

It just happened to be a female officer.

Someone sinks a 100 million ship, so we need to censor the internet?

To the surprise of nobody.

When it’s specifically directed at women, including why women shouldn’t be allowed to undertake certain functions….

Trump hasn’t blamed the Dems for current Civil Wars in Africa and in Myanmar.
However, a Trump Administration may find the Biden Administration as too Woke in its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with ASEAN and cut some of the 5 year programs.
In advance of the ASEAN plus meeting in Laos, a Fact Sheet on US programs and financial assistance was circulated by the US Embassies in the region. It includes expansion of the Partnership to new areas, including health, transportation, women’s empowerment, climate and energy. ( It also includes funding of $2 million for critical minerals)

I’d be surprised if Trump knew about the civil wars in Africa and Myanmar to be honest. And I don’t say that for dramatic effect, I can’t remember a single occasion where Trump mentioned either theatre.

From memory, his focus has been on the ME, keep the US from any role in Civil Wars. IIRC , during his Administration, he announced a withdrawal of all US troops in Syria, but didn’t follow through

He kinda did in Syria, resulting in a mass killing of US allies.

Don’t know why this jumped out at me today…

ā€œ[W]e are all capable of believing things we know to be untrue, and then, when we are finally proved wrong, impudently twisting the facts so as to show we were right. Intellectually, it is possible to carry on this process for an indefinite time: the only check on it is that sooner or later a false belief bumps up against solid reality, usually on a battlefield.ā€ – George Orwell, 1946
