What I managed to parse from the weave was that he just didn’t want to talk about child care, it would be peanuts compared to other stuff, like it’s important and that but it’s not really one of the cool big things he’s gonna do. Because child care is not a man’s subject, it’s for women and hispanic people to deal with, and it isn’t what big locker room dictators talk about as they hide their little ■■■■■ and admire each others power. Also he’s going to tax us for cheap wine. We should probably tax Aukus.
Oh, also, he just doesn’t have any idea about anything remotely pertinent to the job he’s running for. The lawyers will do that, like the nannies do the scion raising.

Do you think that anyone has tried to explain to him how a tariff works and that all these foreign countries won’t be paying his new tax and it will be his base who will be hit as hard as anyone with them?
Anyway that childcare stuff will be paid for by all those foreigners paying that extra tax.

Walz in Michigan ( where there is a significant Arab and Muslim population) says it’s right for pro Palestinians to protest. Israel has the right to defend itself, but there’s a humanitarian crisis which can’t go on.

It’s the same principle that Mexico will pay for his “wall”. They didn’t.
Swtitzer was always a fraud as an expert on economic policies. However he was the darling of the right here on policy, parading as an independent expert on panels and quoted for his views.
Then he fell out of fashion, disappeared from the media. Maybe the Oz owes him one. There are far better analyses, from different perspectives.
But I don’t see why posters should be shamed by other posters for bringing it to our attention, or because they might have a different view from the majority.

Of all the dumb things this is the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Military spending went up under small ■■■■ energy GW Bush’s regime. Under Obama it was on a downward trend until 2014 when small ■■■■ energy Putin decided to annex Crimea. The US tolerated Russia’s Georgian invasion to everyone’s disadvantage and didn’t listen to McCain’s warnings about Russia.
It’s grown ever since because in addition to Georgia and Crimea, SDE Putin decided to try and annex broader Ukraine as well. As soon as SDE Putin invaded Ukraine the entire western world decided they needed to donate their gear.
Nobody is spending money on armies and navies, they are spending to replenish and modernise their defense stocks, and to scale production to match SDE Putin.
