US politics - The ICE epidemic (part 10)

He was helping the woman with his back turned to the ICE officer, hardly confrontational. The fact he had a gun is irrelevant. The only reason they knew he had a gun was because he told them he had one and a license to carry.

She was being harassed by agents.

These are lawless thugs. He was told 2 weeks ago by his family not to get involved.

So carrying a gun gives them an excuse to do what happened.

Again not justifying it, just stating how these people think, what protection they have and how they will act.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say. The agents have been shown to be instructed to be heavy handed, are recruited from far right groups and come under no official scrutiny when killing innocent bystanders. Their training has been reduced from six months to six weeks. Are you saying the real culpability is from the Trump administration? Well yeah it is, but the guy who pulled the trigger still just murdered someone.

I’m not sure why stating the obvious about what Trump era ICE agents are is contributing to the discussion, other than a curious qualification of the earlier suggestion that this wasn’t as ‘bad’ as the Renee Good event. And referring to ‘what protection they have’ is also a curious choice of words, and further implication that they may have been under threat from the pinned, incapacitated and helpless individual they murdered in a horrifying manner which is on film and readily available.

Everything you say is correct.

The first action leads to the second action.

10 shots..

Got to be sure.

It’s your little excuses that are more concerning.

There you go again not justifying the murder, and vilifying the victim.

That was crazy as well, from what I can tell he was shot fell down motionless then all the officers back away and a couple pull their guns out and unload on the unmoving body.

I can’t copy/paste on my work phone but on the twitter “AFStreamWatch” there is a stabilised version of the video which very clearly shows that the murderer saw the gun having been taken away before unloading a round. Discretion advised obviously.

This is what ICE and the Administration want you to believe and part of the problem.

It makes it easier to blame the victim, he was guilty before he even got there.

I’m not blaming the victim.

But you don’t think it’s mad to walk into that situation with a gun? I think it’s even mad to answer back to an ICE agent.

Not because I think I’d be in the wrong but because they are unpredictable and murder people.

Back to hidden under a bridge, old boot.

I also think its kinda wild that an ICU nurse would carry a gun ..what a ■■■■■■ up place America is

In any other western country yes, but in a country that prides itself on the right to bear arms, you’d think the trigger for being shot would actually be brandishing that firearm.

its also a bit insane to carry a gun at an ice protest when you know that most of these cornflake coppers are not the full quid and have been given permission and blessing from the president to do whatever they feel is required .

you would think a professional ike an ICU nurse is educated and smart enough to know how dangerous that is.

It’s your right 100%.

Why you’d do that in that situation I’m not sure.

Alex Pretti’s parents urge: 'Please get the truth out about our son.

Alex Pretti’s parents, Michael and Susan Pretti, have issued a statement following their son’s death at the hands of federal agents in Minneapolis on Saturday.

“We are heartbroken but also very angry,” they said in the statement, which was read aloud on local news channel KARE 11. “Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.”

“Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.”

“I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting,” they said. “Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.”

“Please get the truth out about our son,” they continued. “He was a good man.”
