Trump is claiming that he still doesn’t know the details around the Venezuelan boat strike . “I’m relying on Pete”.
Hegseth is attempting to shift all responsibility away from himself by saying " Admiral Bradley is an American hero, he has my full backing , we have our commanders backs ".
I imagine Bradley ( who was a 3-star admiral when this strike took place , and was then promoted to 4-star after the South Command General mysteriously resigned after the Caribbean boat strikes commenced) is currently in deep conversations with lawyers.
They’re all scuttling to abandon each other. Starting with the C-in-C .
One interesting aspect in all this is that Hegseth is not a Republican or a component of the political party per se. So Republican pollies might turn on him far easier than turning on Trump.

Can you be pardoned for a war crime?
Yes. Trump has already pardoned war criminals previously.
However, iirc the pardon has no international recognition so Hegseth ( for example) would risk prosecution if he left the US.
Of course, the US should have arrested Putin when he landed in Alaska and handed him to the International Court in The Hague for outstanding war crime indictments. Naturally, they didn’t. In fact, they’re siding with Putin against Ukraine. So none of these ■■■■■■ give a ■■■■ about it anyway.

This is a disastrous win for the GOP. If they suffer a similar 15% swing against them at the midterms, it would be absolutely brutal across the board. We are talking mass flips of gerrymanders nation wide at all levels.

We’ve all been in those meetings where someone is just going on, and on, and ooooooon….
And you think to yourself:
‘…just close your eyes. Obviously you’re not gonna sleep. But just take a millisecond to relax. You’re a busy guy. What do these people know? What is this guy talking about? Wait, did I just fall asleep?…”
But I like to think I’d stay awake if someone was accusing me of being a war criminal.
