The EFC website reports the passing of Jack Harrington. Not many on this site will remember Jack but he was a hard nut similar in height and mould to Doug Bigelow.

Jack played in difficult times and all supporters here understand aspects of that. It just ranges.

I can’t have seen him play…I saw one game only in 1957…Melbourne at the G. I have only the vaguest memories of it, and buggered my nose falling over seats in front of the Southern Stand, plaguing me for 30 years.
Ken Fraser replaced him as #23.
