Does Spike also get half a team of premiership players to work with? Or do we count VFL premierships in that scenario?

I don’t think so. There are a lot of players out there, who are very good at VFL level, that won’t be on our list next year.

You’ve fundamentally ignored that if the stats are inaccurate, your premise falls to pieces. I’ve seen vfl score involvement stats where a player had less involvements than they had scoring shots.
I was standing in front of the Hird stand, Rids was also sitting with Perkins, Caldwell and Caddy. Then further over McGrath was with Robey, Roberts, Langford, Martin, Wright, Blakiston, Bryan and Hayes.
Welsh was up the back with Solly, Rosa and Spike.

Discussing the whole team and their futures you’d think. Barring Vigo, Clarke, Artemis, Kondo, Johnson .. and I suppose Huss. The rest are all under the spotlight, good and proper.
I think decision would be made on most of the guys already and Spike would have been briefed on this in his first meeting with Rosa on day one. I doubt performances in these VFL games is going to count for much.
You’re going to make me rewatch the game for every Tsatas touch and I’ll compilate and time stamp each touch to reflect he had a down games and only had the 1 score involvement. 
I’ve already said he had a down game.
I’d also note if you’re going to do that to pay attention to how we scored our shots. Hard for a stoppage player to get score assists when we Cox and McMahon don’t offer enough presence to create goals when the F50 is manned up, or flooded.

But do agree score involvements sometimes don’t tell full story as relies on the person finishing the work!
Geez I love it when you give the Club a bake via the annual survey, for shabby efforts on the EFC website and they go and confirm your comments. As at 3pm Monday still no report on the website regarding our VFL team and their performance against Willy.

I blame HR. When approving the players leave after Round 24 The also approved annual leave for the media team. It’s a natural reaction given Essington’s seasons always finish before September.
