Google says 6,000 down from its usual 10,000 due to grand stand construction

I reckon we are a good chance here. When we beat Shitney I thought it would be a hard task for them to find 5 players from that crappy team to add to their AFL. Nek Minnut they flog Brisbane, Really enthusiastic about this game.

Last year the VFL gf was at Ikon and was honestly perfect for the crowd and atmosphere.

It depend what rules the VFL have implemented.
My understanding is that they went away from neutral venues and now the higher placed team gets to host so o can’t see them moving this game. Hawks won’t want to give up home ground advantage.
Their AFLW team are at Dingley on Saturday and that’s looks smaller than Box Hill anyway
FINALS VENUES
For all matches from the wildcard finals through to the preliminary finals, the higher-placed team on the Smithy’s VFL ladder at the conclusion of the home and away season will have the option to host, subject to meeting venue infrastructure requirements.
The 2026 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final will be played at IKON Park on Sunday, September 20 unless two non-Victorian teams are competing.
In the event of two non-Victorian teams reaching the 2026 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final, the match will be played in the state of the higher-placed team.

It will up to the VFL to move it to a neutral venue as I’d say zero chance the Hawks move it.
They have been hosting games at Box Hill all year so it obviously passes their “infrastructure” clause so would be a bold move for them to move it but they also wouldn’t want to leave a lot of $$$$ on the table.
An extra 3-4k crowd at $15 a head
