VFL Rd 9: Saturday May 23, 2026 @ 10am, Windy Hill v Richmond

lol yep. Standard for Tsatas really.

Eckersley with a goal to give us the lead in the 8th minute. 12-7.

I fully agree

Eckersley looks a lot like Jaxon Binns today

Look he’ll be fine.

Least we know he is in next week at least.

Nguyen looks solid in defence

Never been an issue at VFL level. This last stint shown needs to convert these performances when called up at AFL level.

Likely to get a potential opportunity again next week if he holds up today!

Kondigiannis out positioned and outworked fir an easy answering goal by the Tigers.

ahhh you’d think so. but dont underestimate Brad and his shocking team selections

Sellers off blood rule, mouth/face/nose?

So we have one rule for most of the AFL side, and another rule for Nguyen?

Nguyen handballs to Jones who kicks to Cox in the goal square. He rises like a phoenix and takes a good, high mark and easily slots it through to give us the lead in the 14th minute.

Yeah. I think a lot has changed since I posted that.
You’re not going to have 4 or 5 injured outs and still have the luxury of bringing players back through the VFL.

From what we’ve done so far this year, as players come back from a four or five week injury, they play VFL as a primer, then a week or two of reduced minutes in seniors, then back into full boar time.

I do agree we are harsher standards wise on the kids then the senior players. My take is there is at least 6-8 games since mid season last year that were extremely winnable but for poor skill execution and performances from the senior players we just couldnt get it done all the while the kids held their end of the bargain performance wise but were consistently dropped over more senior underperforming players!

Tsatas and Setterfield rested for next week.

Relentless Tigers keep moving it forward with handballs and fumbles for an easy goal. Scores level, approaching time-on.

And another goal by the weaker team to give them the lead.

Sellers back on

This is a vfa side beating a vfl side

Eerily similar to last night. Getting outplayed and not much system to fall back on.
