VFL - Round 13 vs Casey @ Craigieburn, 2.10pm Saturday 30th June 2018

Franga intercept mark on the siren. Been OK, like Ridley, not awful like Hartley or BOG like Bezerk Thatcher.

That sky is looking rather ominous. Hope we adjust our game play when it dumps it’s load after half time.

3.3.21 trails 6.3.39 at half time. Both teams kicked 3.1 that quarter.

Radar is just patches of rain. Might not hit us at all.

Yeah, … that Black Wall looks like it might be going around the back of the ground?

Casey have both attacked it harder and been cleaner in possession than us. Our onballers have been disappointing, although Clarke came into it a bit more late in that quarter. Heppell and Hind both ok, Mynott a few touches but nothing very productive.
If you don’t tackle to take the body and balance and so force a spill or a hurried disposal you won’t do any good, and our tackling has been lame.

Hocking (again!) and Loony start on the bench.

Danny taken high as he is about to snap the goal. Aaaaaaand… goal anyway.

Huge to get that first goal, and quick.

Zerker, … wow!!

It’s the perfect proving ground for Clarke and Mutch. Casey’s pressure and contested work is top level in the VFL.

Boyse point. Is Handy™.

28-39

■■■■■■ hell Boyse, opportunity there squandered.

Having a real crack now. Just fking it up at crucial moments.

Nice on the full set shot by Casey.

Magpie didn’t even move off the top of the goal post.

Magpie departs on their high snap a few minutes later.

28-45

Sprinkles of rain now, but the deep black has passed by.

Franga blood rule. Cut in forehead.

God, can we keep our feet???
And can we shut down their outside runners???
