Might just be willing to eat the fine if necessary, not wanting one of the 3 emergencies to miss out on a full VFL game.
Odd that they wouldn’t have just named him as an emergency in that case though.
More likely had calf awareness from the captains run yesterday.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s feigned an injury not to play after not even being named an emergency.
I think we’ve moved past him as a club, but pretty sick of the nonsense being spouted on here repeatedly about him faking injury

Yeah he looked fully invested last week and he’s been tearing the house down in the VFL this year.
Wouldn’t be an easy pill to swallow, just doesn’t look fully invested. Probably understandable.
I don’t think he’s feigning any kind of injury.
From my observations of him at training, he’s incredibly meticulous with his fitness.
He’s not known to ‘play through pain’ or injury during games. He’s a bit of a perfectionist and I think he needs to be confident with his body to get the best out of himself.
More VFL games for him will do him the world of good. He’ll be great depth later on in the season as others get tired.
If Shiel is not playing then has an actual injury/ is sick or out for personal reasons
I don’t believe this fake injury nonsense, he’s been playing VFL for weeks

He needs to find the hunger again when is playing, given all his injuries might be playing with lack of desperation and apprehension which isn’t going to get him back in form.
