VFL Second Practice Match V Doggies at Whitten Oval Saturday March 26 @ 12noon

With almost all AFL players available, say, 25 in the group going to Qld, up to around 12-13 of our AFL depth players and
most of our 2016 draft picks may be playing in the VFL hitout. Its a very good opportunity to see where they are at
if you have not made the trip to the Gold Coast.
Theres ample time for most to get back home to watch the AFL game afterwards.
See you there !

So modest. You forgot to mention you’re lead commentator this week…

I wanna hear all about Big Ranga #71.

Argh, you are an impossible act to follow. Its sort of like a Kylie Minogue coming on after the Placido Domingo of Blitz commentators.

But why are they waiting for another month before having their second practice match? Won’t the season be started by then?

Is this yet another burden imposed on the club by our evil AFL overlords?

(hint: check thread title)

I’m also struggling with the location of Whitton Oval

Oops , good pick up Albert.

Big Ranga #71. ISAAC MULLER

Height: 198cm
Weight: 102kg
D.O.B: 08/01/96
Position: Ruckman/Fwd

Very Big Ranga Unit.

Big Red Rock.

Big Ranga #71 = the new Darby, not the returning Muller.

(team page not updated, with Rigger and the Hardy Boy still listed first…)

With so many Rangas in the club, the conspiracy theorists are likely to have a field day. Not sure if they are actually alien lizards or CIA operatives under deep cover or maybe something sinister. What I do know is they have also penetrated the top echelons of the coaching organisation as well.

26 players named for practice match.
Should be interesting to watch.

Looks like a pretty good list of 26 players to me. They should go alright.

important to note no Fantasia. clearly missing a week due to possible concussion at training.

Where’s the best place to park the car near the Whitten oval?

Parking isn’t that easy near the ground. Lots of permit and 2 hour zones. Be prepared to park in a residential area to get all day parking and walk about 1km. Probably head west along Barkly and then cut into a side street. It will almost be guaranteed that the parking inspectors will be out and about (parking fines are great revenue for the local council).
