Lily another good save.
These umps overwhelmingly hate good tackles.

43-19
Lily a third save.
Cats actually hitting some targets by foot, that kick aside.
Tia too good. Tackle gets her a free at halfback.
LOL, 3 of 4 goals for the Cats courtesy the umps.
Wait… they missed from 15 out
LOL.
43-20
Cats have largely parked the bus but have had a few good surges forward when they mass intercept.
Chaston marks at CHB, tells everyone to calm down and uses as much time as possible before moving it on.
5.13.43 defeats 3.2.20
Geelong AFLW players, including Prespakis, congratulating Abbey.
Nalder is now living in Torquay, which explains this choice.
Harris got a lot stiffer during that second half while watching from the bench. Slow assisted climb back to the rooms.
We had a lot of significant players play little or no time today. Next week versus Norf Werribee will tell us a lot more about where we stand.
Not playing:
MFord
sFord
Bernardi
Porter
Melnikas
Thompson (included here per the comments she is the most combative on the list)
Limited game time:
Tassiopoulos
Molan
Little influence (I’m taking this as “will invariably get better”, not “is now ■■■■”):
Ryan
Orritt
I hope Harris is OK, because she was legit good – really mobile as a ruck and we know she can kick goals too. Prince was an alright ruck fill-in (was used as such before Harris went down). Richo almost exclusively kept at CHF.
Albrecht showed promise as a fast small forward, which has been a vacancy for ages.
Harrison decent on the wing.
Abbey and Plummer huge additions. The first is our new best mid, and the second has a booming kick.
Azzopardi disappeared in the second half but was a solid (in various senses of the word) half-back.
Peake slotted straight in, which you’d hope from a veteran.
Sam Johnston is a gangly 175cm but good at ground level.
We could have scored many more times with even vaguely better entries, and converted a lot better as well.
Geelong have got a lot of work to do.
P. S. MFord 21 today, Harris 19yo. I hope the latter gets a good prognosis for her birthday!!!

Gosh I drove past on the way home from Bunnings while the game was on, didn’t realise. I live about 800m away
I will see you there at 1pm on Saturday 24th May, then.
