VFLW - Round 7 vs Box Hill Dorks @ Box Hill, 11:45am Sunday 24th June 2018

#1 Trend is rundown tackles.

For the second time thus quarter we are 2-0 at a marking contest, and spoil each other.

#1 Trend is GOOOOOOOAL!!!

14-41

2.2.14 we lose to 5.11.41

Number of scoring shots is indicative, though their inaccuracy dies reflect us forcing them into less ideal shots.

Unfortunately our previously efficient forward struggled to take its opportunities, not helped by early injury annoyances to Ugle and Hardy.

Morecroft and Hicks, as usual, right up there in the best (and busiest, as key defenders).

Collier got a fair bit, Ugle persisted through the hand injury.

Heil played as a high forward. That and not having Quigley playing limited our forward targets, though.

Caruso was decent.

And at the risk of annoying a certain poster here, Bullas is sooooo much hotter than Williams.

Hard not to agree

Moreau holds the ball weird. But it works, I guess…

Deserve credit for keeping the margin so small?

“Hawthorn simply controlled play inside and outside the contests against the Bombers, winning the contested-possession count 165-117 and uncontested possessions 152-82.”

Morcom was the only one to feature in the round’s top stats, making 9 tackles in the backline.

However, Hayley Bullas is still #1 in the league for tackles, with 63 from 6 games.
