Vinyl LP's & 45's

I can’t even justify the price of some nice mid-range speakers, so…

Yeah, its a lotto win purchase. Or maybe a retirement/payout thing.

Or in other words, Pure Fantasy.

For a sec I thought it came with the Ortofon Red…wtf

Obviously it’s the Bronze.

I have the budget one, paired with a 1972 Sansui au-6500.

Speakers are Magnavox, from the late sixties I think. I can’t find much info about them on the interwebs, but they sound great.

Oooooh vintage gear…sexy.

I used to have an old Sansui. A 222 from memory. Sansui are a great old brand.

I also see a copy of Caravanserai in there. A very underrated Santana album

It’s an incredible album, I still play it a lot.

Its beautiful. Just an absolute jaw dropper. When ever I listen to it, I always wonder why I dont listen to it more.

The songs don’t really have a beginning or an end, they just blend into each other.

This is why I shelve my albums by era/sound and not alphabetically. I see these three all snug together and think, yep there’s an air drumming afternoon sorted. Yoink!

Air drumming is weird. I do it more than any air instrument. And i can barely play drums.

I love playing guitar and play flat out. At least daily…but never ever play air guitar…ever. ■■■■, I even play air bass sometimes. But air guitar…never.

Edit: @mrjez I can’t believe I glossed over your shelving system without comment…

That ■■■■ aint right man…

I never split up an artist’s stuff, but group like stuff together - Bowie, VU, Iggy; Saints, Buzzcocks, Ramones, and it’s loosely chronological along those lines. Makes sense to me.

My method too… although digitally. Heaps of music I only know by grouping. Can’t remember every name. There’s just too much and when I get into a mood or genre it’s the only way.

Yeah, it totally works with mood.
