Wright has more AFL coaches vote than any other Essendon player with 45 (13th overall) - Parish next with 41 (19th overall).
Wright is also equal 5th in goal kicking (40 goals) and has the best accuracy (63.5%) of any of the “Top 10” players bar Mitch Lewis (67.9%) - playing in a bottom 4 side.
For comparison, Daniher is equal 27th (26 goals) with an accuracy of only 53.1% - playing in a Top 4 side. the accuracy number is inflated for Daniher as it doesn’t include the number of his shots on goal that go out o the full (happened once against us yesterday and once against us in Round 2).
Yes, Daniher did miss a few games, but it’s fair to say that Wright has surpassed him as a key forward.
