Durham’s first half was the best I’ve seen from an Essendon player all season. Got clamped in the second half but that first half has him as our best for mine.

Duursma played his usual game - some brilliant efforts, tarnished by some absolutely stupid ones (such as centring a high ball which fell short of its intended target and was marked by a Carlton player for an easy goal). Every week, he destroys the wonderful work he does by following it up with stupid careless efforts that a wingman on a schoolboy team wouldn’t make.

Prior likely gets votes because that game is a long way from his standard for us.
Setterfield had a decent game, I didnt give him votes, but imagine Solomon would have been happy with him.

Walsh and Cripps both in the top 20 coaches votes missed out on a vote, which mean we did well limiting their influence.
