Thought Belly was actually smart with punching the ball clear of packs- stopped them doing a Grigg
Hepp was our only player to move through traffic and look upfield particularly in first half
Parish- midfieldiest midfielder
Bellcho shouldnāt be near the votes, he dominated a first gamer in the ruck but we broke even in the clearances. Not good enough to have a clear win in the position yet dont smash the most important metric out of it.
I donāt know what some were watching but Merrett was as woeful as most.
Parish easily best for us
Heppell second and
Langford who seems to be able to play in the wet gets my third
Apols to Ambrose and Belly
There is a bit of truth to Scott Cummings comments about Merretts defensive game. He does choose when to go and when to tackle, some of his efforts last night were abysmal.
I fear for the rest of our team then - given Merrett still managed to record a team high 8 tackles best was Lav with 6, followed by Guelfi, Parish and Saad with 5.
