Votes vs Smalls

3 Parish
2 Heppell
1 Belly

Thought Belly was actually smart with punching the ball clear of packs- stopped them doing a Grigg
Hepp was our only player to move through traffic and look upfield particularly in first half
Parish- midfieldiest midfielder

Bellcho shouldnā€™t be near the votes, he dominated a first gamer in the ruck but we broke even in the clearances. Not good enough to have a clear win in the position yet dont smash the most important metric out of it.

Parish
Ambrose
Heppell

I donā€™t know what some were watching but Merrett was as woeful as most.
Parish easily best for us
Heppell second and
Langford who seems to be able to play in the wet gets my third
Apols to Ambrose and Belly

There is a bit of truth to Scott Cummings comments about Merretts defensive game. He does choose when to go and when to tackle, some of his efforts last night were abysmal.

Langford - used the ball better than anyone on the ground last night. WTAF he didnā€™t spend more time on the ground is beyond me.

Heppell - all guts and class.

Parish - finding the ball beautifully, a tad more composure and heā€™ll literally tear games apart.

I fear for the rest of our team then - given Merrett still managed to record a team high 8 tackles best was Lav with 6, followed by Guelfi, Parish and Saad with 5.
