Votes vs the Aints

Redman
Hind
Caldwell

Bloody tough one,

Mcgrath
Ridley
Redman

Redman
Perkins
McGrath

As others have said another half a dozen names could be in there instead and be equally worthy……a great sign.

It’s harder to give votes when we win, especially with such a consistent even effort.

  1. Caldwell
  2. Redman
  3. Perkins…two posters away from being our BOG.

Honourable mentions to plenty…Shiel Hind McGrath Ridley Laverde Draper.

Just about everyone played their best game for the year.

Can only think of one player who didn’t have an impact.

3 Shiel
2 Redman
1 Perkins

3: Hind
2: Red Dog
1: Massimo

Laverde
Hind
Perkins

Sat basically on the fence and lab’s work in nearly every contest was just amazing. You have to admire what he’s done with his career.

A couple of years ago l suggested we change the Nobby voting to 5, a game like this is prime example of the reason why. This is a difficult assignment.
3 Redman, his best game for the club. He was tough, he was polished and he appeared in the right places at the right time.
2. Shiel, stepped up last week, repeated the effort with telling effect this week. Led the midfield in a top notch performance.

  1. Draper, picked the team up and put it on his shoulders during the third quarter when the Saints were threatening to overrun us. He said nuh, huh, not on my watch. He was huge, in every sense of the game.

HMs - McGrath was great throughout.
Hind, recovered his dash.
Laverde, controlled King again, when on him, used his strength.
Ridley, also had the better of King when on him.
2MP, 12 score involvements is anything but mediocre.
Guelfi, kept Sinclair quiet and kicked a couple of goals going the other way, he is underrated.
Perkins, quality with every touch.

Redman & Hind unlucky. McGrath, Heppell & Shiel with some great moments as well.

So many winners all over the ground, tbh.

1 Redman
2. Perkins
3. Caldwell

  1. Red dog
  2. Archie
  3. 2MP

HM: hard to pick a bad player, I will say our biggest loss in the last two yrs was Mckeena and Said. Now that Hindy & Mass are playing, including Ham & Redman we can have speed on the ball.

This is essential to actually winning games. Would still take Connor back in a heart beat. If I were lost managers I’d be sounding him out as our International rookie player.

3 Perkins
2 McGrath
1 Caldwell

Plenty unlucky

1 Shiel
2 Draper
3 Caldwell

Caldwell, Draper and Shiel 2 votes each
plenty of others unlucky

3 Hind
2 Shiel
1 Merrett

One of those great games where just about every player deserves a vote.

  1. Redman, by sheer weight of numbers. Such a tough defender and doesn’t make mistakes.

  2. Hind. His repeated dash out of defence and willingness to attack every time he touched the ball really set the tone for the whole team.

  3. Perkins. Heading to be the best tackler in the competition, and so creative and polished with the ball. That tackle on Ryder, giving away about 10cm and 20kg, was the standout but there were many more.

Shiel and McGrath are probably the two unluckiest to miss out, but then there’s Laverde, Merrett, Draper, Caldwell ……
