News outlets reporting numbers well down for the Grand Final parade. Its currently well attended by West Coast supporters who’ve made the trip over but with the business district shut for public holiday and many retail outlets also closed, many people have gone away. This is completely not surprising and Daniel Andrews may have screwed this one badly.

NSW have the public holiday after the GF and like was mentioned to me by someone who lives there - “why would you want a day off on the Friday?.. that’s not mad Monday”.

Personally, I love being in Melbourne for the Grand Final for the buzz, however if Melbourne leaves the city for a long weekend holiday it detracts from the weekend in my view.

Don’t like either club but how any Dons fan is hoping for a Hawks victory is beyond me.
Clarkson and Mitchell dining out for the rest of time about their 3 in a row is enough to make me chunder.
Hoping Mitchell cops a few kneecaps early on leaving the angry midget spitting chips up in the coaches box.
The Coast fans are a bunch of wankers but I’m sick and tired of the smugness of Hawthorn and it hurts watching one of our chief rivals be successful whilst we continue to struggle.

From the news reports on TV their looked to be around 100,000 people at the parade lining the streets.

I know what you mean. However it was worse (and more prevalent) when wankers were supporting cwood vs Brisbane in 02,03. Unforgivable.
