■■■■ this sucks. I really feel for the guy. His incredibly brief foray in our VFL team was exciting.
I had genuine hope for him to play seniors. It also sucks he is from WA. I would have loved to keep him on our VFL list after his surgery. Just feel if he gets his body right (if that is still possible) he will be a diamond in the rough for someone.

Unfortunate situation. Hopefully he gets himself right to get another crack at it.
Odds are he’ll get himself right over the summer, sign at WCE in the SSP, and kick 8 against us as WCE go flying past us as well

Feel for the bloke. In the wo games I saw him, he looked promising (from the couch).
I hope this means we keep Big Boi Bladwin for another year…

Yep so do I. He looked an exciting prospect. You have to feel sorry for these type of guys. Given their all for their dream for it to fail. All those setbacks and tough days and weeks in rehab. Hopefully he finds a great career whatever that may be.

Tough but good decision by the club
At least with the mid season draft hes young enough to be an option again for another club.
Imo he’s now at the stage where he’ll need to show he can at the very least consistently get on the park for a look in.
Also wonder if the impact of his injuries on his mobilities means he dips just below “AFL level” athleticism.
Best of luck to him, looked like he had some talent. I’m sure he’ll fork out a very productuve VFL career down the line if he so chooses.

Another Essendon player who just didn’t have the body to stand up to AFL level training and playing.
Was worth the mid season punt, and unlucky with the knee.
Still plenty of time for him to be picked up as a delisted free agent, and do it in 2025 as well.
