I remember watching a North game last year after rumours started that he was coming to Essendon. McKay marked it then completely butchered a 15m pass sideways. I hoped that it was a one off.

Hopefully Benny is going to handball school over the break. Iāve never seen a player concede so many goals through basic handball skill errors.

Ben certainly had a disappointing 2nd half of the year - those panic handballs, FMD.
But imagine how much worse we would have been if he hadnāt been in the team.
No Ridley, no Reid, Redman not wanting to get in the same postcode as his opponent.

Imagine we chose to ālow ballā him and he signed with Hawthorn and played last night.
The usual threads would be even more insufferable than normal.

They had the most scored and least conceded in the comp since round 11ā¦ theyād have been absolutely fine - awful take

But our midfield, Hffs and wings are fine thoughā¦
Iāll wear the clapper tag but I think if we can keep bringing talent in and improve the development and fitness incrementally we could see some fair improvement
Get everyone on the same page, get some pressure forwards to actually convert our bajillion entries, continue with decent midfield effort / outputā¦ who knows
I think actually if we somehow get Perryman that would be a monstrous win for us

I donāt think itās all bad, but I definitely believe we overrate our better players.
I spoke to someone inside the club last year and asked for their view on what our biggest list deficiency was.
Their answer?
We have a list full of players who simply cannot kick the footy at anywhere close to the level required to be one of the best sides in the competition.
Personally I donāt think weāre close to addressing this issue.

Yep, the kicking issue is real.
Itās why we froth when players like Caldwell and Durham make some tidy moves by foot- we have been starved of seeing it (bar Merrett) for so long.
