Does anyone remember how well it turned out when we drafted the last stable pony?

Welocme Dyls, I know nothing about you aside from being the brother of the North lad…suffice to say, your welcome.

Numbers 18 and 5 holding onto the Cup. Oh how very 2000 of them.

TOP 10 Kicking Test! He cant be all that bad. He may find it hard to fix at WINDY TULLA

My personal opinion, based on comparing the kicking test results blokes get with their performance by foot in actual games, is that the kicking test isn’t worth a suspicious brown stain on a pair of secondhand underwear.

Physical pressure, fatigue, moving targets, and being off-balance are some if the factors it fails to simulate. Of course no test can be perfect and it’s impossible to incorporate ALL of these factors into come thing like the draft camp, but even so, I think the results of this test just do not end up being indicative of what a kid kicks like in a game.

Agreed! Its a pointless test. (Is it the one that Matty Lloyd designed?)

I like Clarke a lot, I think he is great value at this pick and fills a natural gap that is going to appear in the list over the next few years as our current older inside mids start to drop off but there is no way in the world he is in the top 8 kicks in the draft. He might be in the top 8 at Eastern Ranges but that’s about it.

Looking at those highlights he seems to get the ball and then just smash it out of the clearances, doesn’t have/use the vision to find a teammate like Brodie does, rather just hacks it out with brute force and determination.

Given he is supposedly smart and coachable, we might be able to fix that by giving him a set of options to work with.

Anyway, looks a really good pickup for a fourth rounder

Nothing Diesel Williams can’t fix.

Overall

Clarke is a hard working inside midfielder who wins plenty of the ball. He led the Under-18 Championships earlier this year in disposals, clearances, contested possessions and hard ball gets.

He is a reliable player, who has a great attitude and always gets his hands dirty in the contest.

Lacks a bit of pace, but has a good engine and can go all day.

Big gap between hands leaving the ball and foot connecting, kicks like someone foreign to the game. You’d think this could be corrected relatively easy but strange it hasn’t been addressed yet given it’s apparently his big weakness. Looks terrific otherwise

Though he has a lot of positive…Looks really bad with kicking, magnified by the ball drop. Reminds me of Dunkley. His handballing looks worse, and very weak.

who the ■■■■ taught him how to kick? looks like a 4 year old the first time he kicks a big boy footy

Every player has weaknesses. The later they go in the draft the more they have.

Inside mids can probably get away with questionable kicking as juniors. Watson, Priddis. & Josh Kennedy all could get the footy but had kicking deficiencies. Worked very hard on that and look at them now.

Time will tell with Clarke. Spoken of as someone who will absolutely try to get the best out of themselves so won’t die wondering.

Still made the All Australian side so obvious talent to work with.

yeah weird kicking style.

reminds me of david armitage

Kicks on his preferred side looking like it’s non-preferred.
