Colyer never had a bad kicking style though. Just couldnāt work out how to kick on the run (and he was always on the run). Clarkeās technique looks really bad
At night he must think āhow good is this?ā He gets to train in the state of the art TVSC whilst his brother has to rattle tins on the street before training at Arden Street.

With how weāre tracking at the minute, being in debt up to our eyeballs Iām steering clear of jibes of this nature!!
never understood the theory that a players kicking technique will improve at AFL level.
Obviously the reason he was a late pick. Sounds like he is the type who will leave no stone unturned in getting the best out of himself though.
Baguley and colyer were rubbish kicks now both pretty good. Watson was terrible now is ok.
Baguley was never a rubbish kick. He used to fluff the occasional short pass but his longer distance kicking was always excellent. And as has been said, Colyerās kicking action was always quite good - he just had to learn to steady for a moment rather than try to kick while running at 100 metres in 10 seconds pace.

Seriously mate have you seen our glass house lately?
9.8 million ring any bells?

Baguley was never even close to a rubbish kick. Heās never even been average.
He had a few rushed kicks under pressure in his first few games while he was still adjusting to the speed of AFL, late in 2012 when the team was shot and the backline under seige. People saw that and decided that was the norm, despite all the evidence to the contrary since. His kicking was one of the reasons he was recruited in the first place.
Both were very poor kicks in my opinion. Baguley has fully changed his kicking style since the early days you can see in the way he holds it before dropping it to his boot. Colyer wasnāt just a poor kick at full pace he used to kick floaters and helicopter kicks even after a mark. Weāll agree to disagree though.

colyer i agree, but baggas was always one of our vfl top kickers.
He hasn't even kicked a ball in the AFL and he's already the worst kick in the team. Poor bloke.
TBH Iād kinda prefer the worst kick in the team was the new bloke rather than someone whoās spent a year plus enjoying the best coaching EFC can provideā¦
Clarke hits Florent leading out of from square lace out in one of the vids. Albeit he can't mark as had defender up his clacker.
Iād suggest itās just a matter of ensuring he simplifies his kicking technique as he can kick it well at times.
yeah but deadset most of his other kicks in that vid are ā ā ā ā . technique needs a lot of improvement
He does have people hanging off him at stoppages a lot of the time so to be expected.
In saying that certainly are some that look average also.
As Iāve said before. Watson. Priddis. JKennedy etc have all had issues with kicking early days and ended up stars. Clarke certainly knows how to find footy.
